Fixed Issues

1. CurlClient.php

Issue: HTTP header array merge could cause errors

// Fixed:
if (!isset($options[\CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER])
    || !\is_array($options[\CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER])
) {
    $options[\CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER] = [];
}
$options[\CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER][] = 'Content-Length: ' . \strlen($data);

2. JSONClient.php

Issue 1: SSL verify disabled - Dangerous for production

// Fixed: Reads from environment variable
$appEnv = \getenv('CODESAUR_APP_ENV') ?: ($_ENV['CODESAUR_APP_ENV'] ?? $_SERVER['CODESAUR_APP_ENV'] ?? 'production');
$isDevelopment = \strtolower($appEnv) === 'development';

$options = [
    \CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST => !$isDevelopment ? 2 : false,
    \CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER => !$isDevelopment,
    \CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER     => $header
];

Issue 2: GET request query parameters not properly processed

// Fixed: GET request adds query parameters to URL as query string
$isGet = \strtoupper($method) == 'GET';

if ($isGet && !empty($payload)) {
    $queryString = \http_build_query($payload);
    $separator = \strpos($uri, '?') !== false ? '&' : '?';
    $uri = $uri . $separator . $queryString;
    $data = '';
} else {
    // POST, PUT, DELETE requests send as JSON body
    $data = empty($payload)
        ? ($isGet ? '' : '{}')
        : (\json_encode($payload) ?: throw new \Exception(__CLASS__ . ': Error encoding request payload!'));
}

3. Mail.php

Issue 1: CODESAUR_DEVELOPMENT constant not defined

// Fixed:
if (\defined('CODESAUR_DEVELOPMENT')
    && CODESAUR_DEVELOPMENT
) {
    \error_log($e->getMessage());
}

Issue 2: get_headers() error not handled

// Fixed:
$headers = @\get_headers($fileUrl);
if ($headers === false
    || empty($headers[0])
    || \stripos($headers[0], '200 OK') === false
) {
    throw new \InvalidArgumentException('Invalid URL attachment!');
}

Issue 3: MIME type strtoupper() incorrect

// Fixed: MIME type properly formatted
// MIME type properly formatted (e.g., "image/jpeg", "application/pdf")
$message .= "Content-Type: $type; name=\"$name\"\r\n";

Conclusion

Overall Rating: 5/5

Strengths:

  • Code quality is very good
  • PHPDoc complete, in Mongolian
  • Tests included, working successfully
  • Structure clear, lightweight
  • Security improved (SSL verify environment variable)
  • Code formatting improved
  • All previously suggested improvements have been implemented in v2.1.0

Things to improve (optional):

  • Add Configuration class (timeout, retry, etc.) -- DONE (sendWithRetry implements retry/timeout)
  • Create Response class -- DONE (Response class created in v2.1.0)
  • Add Logger interface -- DONE (enableDebug/getDebugLog implements logging)

Next Steps (optional) -- ALL IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0

  1. Response class -- IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0:
    // Response class - IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0
    $response = (new CurlClient())->send('https://httpbin.org/get');
    echo $response->statusCode; // 200
    echo $response->isOk();     // true
    print_r($response->json()); // decoded JSON
  2. Retry with timeout -- IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0:
    // Retry with timeout - IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0
    $response = (new CurlClient())->sendWithRetry(
        'https://api.example.com/data',
        retries: 3,
        delayMs: 500
    );
  3. Debug logging -- IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0:
    // Debug logging - IMPLEMENTED in v2.1.0
    $curl = new CurlClient();
    $curl->enableDebug(true);
    $curl->send('https://httpbin.org/get');
    print_r($curl->getDebugLog());

CI/CD Pipeline

GitHub Actions Workflow

This project has a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions:

File: .github/workflows/ci.yml

Features:

  • Automated Tests - Tests run on Push or Pull Request
  • Multiple PHP Versions - Tests on PHP 8.2, 8.3
  • Multiple OS - Tests on Ubuntu and Windows
  • Code Coverage - Generates coverage information on Pull Request
  • Security Check - Runs Composer audit
  • Code Linting - Checks PHP syntax

CI/CD Pipeline Steps:

  1. Test Job - Runs tests on multiple PHP versions and OS
    • PHP 8.2, 8.3
    • Ubuntu, Windows
    • Unit and Integration tests

    • Collects coverage information using Xdebug
    • Uploads to Codecov
  3. Lint Job - Checks code formatting
    • Checks PHP syntax
    • Composer validate
  4. Security Job - Checks security
    • Runs Composer audit

CI/CD Pipeline Benefits:

  • Automatically runs tests
  • Tests on multiple environments (PHP version, OS)
  • Generates code coverage information
  • Checks security
  • Ensures code quality
